Liesel walked at him. She was courageous enough to reach out and hold his bearded face. 'Is it really you, Max?' Such a brilliant German day and its attentive crowd. He let his mouth kiss her palm. 'Yes, Liesel, it's me,' and he held the girl's hand in his face and cried onto her fingers. He cried as the soldiers came and a small collection of insolent Jews stood and watched.
So, that's finally the colored version of my Max-Liesel-Fanart. Look at the sketch: [link] !!
I used Copic paper for the first time!! But it's not that different from normal copy paper, though the colors don't bleed out as much as on normal paper and it doesn't suck your pens out. But the intensity of the colors is the same I think. o_O
Here's a seperate upload of the background: [link] !! I scanned Max' "The Standover Man" to my computer and made a collage to put it into the background of the fanart because I didn't have any idea what to draw behind Max & Liesel. I didn't have the patience to draw a few Jews behind them and I think that the main characters of the picture would have got lost. So I hope that this solution looks kind of ok for you!! o.o
I totally worship the pair Max & Liesel !! Although Rudy's cute, too.
This is beautiful, but inaccurate, they seem too fit. Max should look more sickly, he's headed for Dachau, and Liesel is too well dressed. But other than that, I love them and you portrayed the moment wonderfully.
It is so hard to do that with anime-styled drawings.
